Inspired

What better way to start my Saturday than writing in a cafe and starting a new notebook! This bank page doesn’t scare me! I can’t wait to start filling this new notebook with words 💖

I feel a poem coming on 😀

Plan B…

Today I sat down to finally edit a paper I’m writing for my studies at university. I had the printed file of the mark ups, my computer, my coffee, and I was ready. But, I had forgotten the notebook I’d written additional notes in, and after about a minute into this editing project I realised it was a bust. I was frustrated and annoyed at myself, as I was wanting to make progres with this paper. This was the one job I really wanted to not just do today, but right now while I was in a cafe.

However, not all was lost.

I did have a new notebook with me, and as well as other pressing writing projects that needed attention. I sat and wrote by hand. Not what I had planned, but I did make progress, and I enjoyed writing. new notebook

While this wasn’t the project I wanted to work on while in a cafe, by going to plan B, I could salvage the day, and get on with creating. Being adaptive to the situation pays off.

New Notebook Excitement

There’s a joy and excitement in beginning a new notebook, especially for a new project. The proof of the new inspiration? In this beautiful notebook, there are now penned four poems in a raw handwritten state. All in one morning sitting of writing. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome from my muse, who in this case is the notebook.

A great way to start a new notebook. This is fresh inspiration in abundance.

Writing Bliss

What better way to start the day and finish the week by writing! Especially the first week of the new year!

I’m still in holiday mode, so by taking just a little time to write I feel connected to my creative flow and I get my writing fix which sustains my soul! All in under an hour.

Sometimes these snatches of time to write are super valuable and give me a chance to slip into a state of writing bliss.

Fountain Pen Joy!

I treated myself to a new Lamy fountain pen. I can’t stop using it and I’ve switch to more handwriting just so I can use it!

This treat to myself is definitely paying off in creative currency! The ideas and flowing along with the words.

The iced latte is a change because it’s a hot spring day and I’m in need of a cool drink as well as my daily caffeine hit!
